1. Raw Materials and Feeds
At the shrimp feed factory:

1. Every batch of shrimp feed produced has a production date, which serves as batch nr.
2. The feed factory keeps a record of the formulas, including the batch and/or order nr and container nr of the raw materials used for each batch of shrimp feed.
3. The feed factory keeps a sample of all batches of shrimp feed produced during 2 years from production date
4. The feed factory keeps a sample per batch of all raw materials used, during 2 years after arrival at the feed factory.

At the premix plant in Belgium (GMP certified since 1998):

1. Every batch of premixes/concentrates used for shrimp feed production has a production date, which serves as batch nr.
2. VDS keeps a record of the formulas, including the batch or consignment nr of the raw materials used for each batch of premixes.
3. VDS keeps a sample of all batches of premixes produced
4. VDS keeps a sample per batch or consignment of all raw materials used.

2. Guidelines for our customers
At the farm:

1. Every harvest of shrimp from one ponds has a batch nr.
2. Farm keeps a record of all the feeds and their batch nr (production date) used in every pond.
3. Farm keeps a sample of shrimp for all ponds harvested.
4. Farm keeps a sample per batch of feed received.

At the processing plant:

1. Every box of shrimp can be traced to the ponds where it was harvested
